How to get your carpet cleaned?

You can either use the vacuum cleaners or take the help of the Cleaning services so that the carpets are cleaned and maintained at its best. When you make use of vacuum cleaners they will suck out the dirt and remove the solid particles, dust and allergens that have got accumulated amidst the fibre in the carpet. However, this might clean the carpet but for getting rid of the stains you need to go for an extensive cleaning method but at the same time does not spoil the carpet.
There are two methods of carpet cleaning that are in practice and they are hot water extraction and steam cleaning methodology. Though steam cleaning is used in industrial cleaning process whereas in the case of carpets actually hot water is used and not the steam. Here steam cleaning is a misnomer.  If you actually, spray the steam it will spoil the carpet fibres or in the case of wool it will shrink it.

Generally, all the carpet manufacturer recommends hot water extraction method of cleaning the carpet. In this method, the hot water is sprayed and not the steam through equipment sometimes they might even add cleaning chemicals in it. It is sprayed on the dislodged and dissolved dirt. In hot water extraction methodology effective cleaning is possible by using hot water alone or by using hot water with very dilute detergent solutions. This method avoids the detergent residue getting settled in the carpet which will attract the dirt very soon after it is cleaned when the people walk over it.  The major disadvantage of the hot water extraction methodology is 100% of the hot water cannot be removed and poor water extraction under high humidity might lead to the growth of moulds. Though this is not the case with the high end commercial water extraction equipment where moisture left in the carpets will evaporate more quickly with ventilation, air-conditioning, heating, etc.

Yet another method of cleaning the carpet is through the use of dry Carpet Cleaning machines. Some of the famous dry London carpet cleaning machines is Brush and Clean, Host Dry and Whittaker System. These are “very low moisture system” (VLM) that relies on dry compounds complemented by application cleaning solutions. These are becoming more popular due to its quick drying which is ideally suited for commercial installations and these are less labour intensive when compared to wet extraction process.

Now-a-days, green cleaning products are available in the market for cleaning the carpets. Whether you are cleaning the carpet by yourself or hiring the professional cleaning services always ensure that green cleaning products are used in cleaning the carpets. Cleaning also restores the carpet to its original look. A well cleaned and well maintained carpet is not only a perfect decor to your home but also aids in healthy living conditions.
